Mainly, there are three departments in NCHMCT viz., Administration & Finance, Studies & Examination, and Academics, which are headed by respective Directors, who are supported by other staff members. The broad functions of the three departments are as given hereunder:

  • Custodian of records, the common seal and funds of the Institute and such other property of the Institute.
  • Division Head is the Head of Office and Secretary of the Board of Governors and such other committees
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and the Board of Governors.
  • Conducting meeting of Board of Governors and compliance of the Board decision.
  • Affiliation of IHMs, Inspection and conduct of Affiliation Committee meeting.
  • Conducting Principal’s Meet,
  • Regulate the IHMs,
  • Processing of scholarships for the students, coordinate with AISHE and other agencies,
  • Evaluation of the Annual Return of the Affiliated Institutes and certify the performance assessment to them,
  • Conduct of all India JEE for admission of B.Sc and M.Sc program,
  • Conduct of National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test (NHTET) exam at the level of NET (National Eligibility Test) in Hospitality,
  • General Administration, General Accounts, Audit, Annual report,
  • General Establishment including Recruitment, Promotion and maintenance of reservation roster,
  • Engagement and management of Outsourcing agencies,
  • Procurement and store management,
  • Implementation of Rajbhasha, Parliamentary Committee
  • Parliament question
  • Vigilance
  • RTI matters
  • Guest House, Hostel and Staff Quarters
  • Liaisoning with MoT and other Govt. Departments,
  • Assist GoI for appointment of Principal,
  • Administrative reforms through training,
  • Maintenance of Campus and belongings,

  • Preparation of Mark sheets and Certificates/ Degrees, Awarding of Scholarships and prizes, Technical evaluation of any new proposal of IHM/ FCI, Academic tie up with other Academic bodies.
  • Syllabus up-gradation for M.Sc., B.Sc., PG Diploma, Diploma and Craft Courses, Skills Development Programs etc.;
  • International academic tie-ups;
  • Registration of candidates for semester, annual exams;
  • Conduct of term-end examinations for all the courses;
  • Plan evaluation of answer books and timely declaration of results;
  • Conduct all Supplementary Examinations and special exams, if any;
  • Appoint Examination Centre Superintendents and Observers;
  • Documentation of results, issue mark-sheets, diplomas and certificates;
  • Coordination with IGNOU for award of Degrees.
